Today we celebrate the feast of St. Lucy!
Even in her darkest moment, she walked toward the light. Her name means "light-bearer," and 1700 years later, her courage still inspires us.
When life feels overwhelming, remember: just move toward the light. Let go of worry and fear. Focus on prayer, authentic love, and friends who lift you up.
Which direction are you moving today?

We are very grateful for this partnership with Cold Lake First Nations and all the learning and growing that is happening within Holy Cross as a result of it.

Students created Advent crafts and shared stories about their cultures and traditions. They opened up about favourite foods, holiday customs, and meaningful memories from home.
It was a beautiful celebration of the diversity within our school, while reflecting on the unity we share as children of God. What a blessing to learn from one another and grow together in faith, understanding, and joy.

As we journey through Advent and prepare our hearts for Christmas, we invite our school families to pray the Stations of the Crib together.
We’ve created a simple, prayerful slideshow that walks you through each station, helping children reflect on the story of Jesus’ birth in a meaningful and gentle way. Please click here for the Slideshow.
We hope this brings peace, reflection, and a sense of togetherness to your family during this holy season. ✨
Blessings on your Advent journey! 🌟

We were a little disappointed we couldn’t tag the worms to know whose was whose… but we think our wiggly friends prefer the mystery.

The following meditation was written by St. Alphonsus Liguori (1696 – 1787) specifically for the season of Advent. This mediation is for the evening of the Second Sunday of Advent.
The meditations include three points and provides a reflection on God’s love for us, acts of contrition, and petitions for final perseverance. They conclude with a brief prayer to Our Blessed Mother.
Stay tuned for next week's meditation!

God speaks to us in many ways, including through the Sunday Scripture readings. The Sunday Connection provides useful background and activities to better understand the upcoming Sunday's Scripture readings, helping you to connect the Scripture and the Advent Season to daily life in a meaningful way.
